Our Story
We are RAS Valeting & Detailing, a proud family-run business with a cutting-edge detailing studio situated at Pottington Industrial Estate in Barnstaple.
Originally hailing from the Midlands, Ryan, the owner, and founder of RAS Valeting & Detailing, embarked on this journey in June 2020 with the most modest of beginnings – just a Fiat Diablo, a few shelves, and an immense passion for detailing.
Encouraged by his friends, family and partner, Steph, Ryan decided to turn his passion into a full-time pursuit. Steph supported him in realising his vision of establishing a dedicated detailing studio, and in 2022, this vision came to life with the birth of RAS Valeting & Detailing in Bideford.
Following the opening, RAS rapidly outgrew its Bideford studio. In October 2023, the business relocated to Barnstaple, accompanied by a new team member, Elliot.
In addition to Elliot joining the RAS team full-time, their daughter Avaleigh was born, adding another layer of significance to the RAS brand [Ryan, Avaleigh & Steph].
RAS doesn't just provide a standard valet or detail; they offer an unparalleled, personalised experience for both you and your vehicle.

RYAN
I'm Ryan Alexander Summers,
I'm the owner and founder of RAS Valeting & Detailing.
My journey in this venture began with the humblest of beginnings, starting small but dreaming big. The passion for detailing and my profound love for cars fueled the creation of RAS.
Being an Autobrite Direct and Wax is Dead Accredited professional, I take pride in my commitment to delivering excellence in every aspect.
Leading RAS, I am not only thankful for the opportunity to pursue my passion but also deeply grateful for the support of family and friends who have been there for me every step of the way.
The loyalty of our clients is something I'm continuously overwhelmed by. Their trust in RAS Valeting & Detailing has played a significant role in our growth.
With a passionate team, supportive network, and loyal clients, RAS has become a place where every customer enjoys a personalised experience that exceeds their expectations.
STEPH
Hello! I'm Steph, Ryans Partner
I manage all the RAS social media's, customer bookings, part time valeter and handle the day-to-day operations.
My passion for the detailing world has been with me since the beginning when Ryan and myself formed RAS valeting & detailing back in 2020.
As a partner to Ryan, my dedication and love for the craft shines through in every operational detail. I take great care in looking after all our valued clients, making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
I'm super proud of the team and the results they deliver day in day out.

ELLIOT
Hey , I'm Elliot, and I'm Ryan's detailing apprentice at RAS.
I've been following RAS's journey on social media right from the start, and when the open day for RAS Bideford came around, I couldn't wait to go along.
My passion for cars has been ingrained in me since a very young age – in fact, my first word was 'car'!
I reached out to Ryan persistently for six months, expressing my eagerness to showcase my love for cars at RAS. Finally, Ryan caved, offering me the opportunity to volunteer on Saturdays for a couple of hours a week to enhance my knowledge and skills. - I'm absolutely obsessed with what I do!
After leaving school, I joined RAS on a full-time basis, and I love what I do, and I'm constantly learning and growing my knowledge on a daily basis.
I am fully accredited with Autobrite Direct, having spent quality time with them on a 1:1 basis.
I take immense pride in having earned my own detailing bay at RAS, I'm so proud and grateful for their investment and belief in me.
